I’m working on a new game. I’ve decided to find a way around the areas I’m least talented in (2D graphics and drawing) and supplement it with stuff that I am talented in (procedural visual effects).

Controls! (game starts below) Additional controls: alt+click builds walls that require resources (green objects dropped by enemies). Two resources are required to build a wall. The first click will be invisible until the second one is made (while holding alt) Additional alt+clicks will continue the wall. To start a new wall, press shift+click and then resume with the alt+clicking



These effects where inspired by thonbo’s filter’s on the run The cool thing about them is that the concepts aren’t restricted to the domain of AS3. Now that I understand the underlying principals I can easily apply them in other projects on other platforms.
